Originally from Nashville, TN. Dr. Corlew graduated from Glencliff High School. He attended Johnson C. Smith University on an athletic scholarship to play football. Became a Touchdown Club Academic-All-American 1992. 

Master's and Doctorate from the University of Phoenix.
