Welcome to the 2025-2026 school year! I am honored to serve as your new principal of CC Griffin STEM Middle School. CC Griffin is an amazing school focused on continuous improvement and positive climate and culture. Our theme this year is “Soaring to Excellence,” and we have already taken flight!  I welcome your feedback, value your voice, and I am grateful for your continued support of our school! As your principal, I look forward to continuing traditions of academic excellence, community involvement, and celebrating staff and scholar achievements. My educational philosophy is grounded in the belief that all children can learn. I believe middle school is a crucial part of any child’s educational journey. I believe in positive culture and climate, committed leadership teams and staff, supportive community and families, shared decision-making, and accountability. I believe parents and school communities are critical to the success of a school. CCG’s doors will remain open to you and your feedback!

I have served NC scholars, families, educators, schools and communities for over 25 years. I’ve served as a teacher for several years (middle school math and science teacher, high school math, high school math department). I have also served as a certified teacher mentor, Teach for America coach, instructional accountability facilitator for school wide testing and K-8 academic facilitator. In administration, I have served as a K-5 dean of students and assistant principal at all school levels (elementary, middle and high). I know what is required for students to successfully journey from kindergarten to 12th grade and graduate from high school with post-secondary plans.

Our school continues to impact the academic, social, and emotional well-being of middle school scholars. Your child’s safety, social emotional needs, and academic growth are very important to all of us. We must continue our positive momentum and build and maintain trusting relationships. We are “Soaring to Excellence” together and I look forward to continuing this journey with you!
